Hello
Hello! It’s nice to see you. My name’s Emma. Have a seat and get comfy.
This is a little website that I hope will grow over time.
In it I talk about stuff like
identity,
culture,
emotions,
depression,
gender,
eating disorders and
recovery.
Most of all, I try to think through how the Jesus of the Bible gives hope in any and every circumstance. Because the gospel is not for people who have it together. It’s good news for messed-up folks like me. (See my story).
I’d love to hear from you if you want to talk, or if you want me to speak at events where you are. But in the meantime, here’s a quick tour:
Here’s how the blog got its name.
These are some feature posts and this is what people are discussing at the moment.
I’ve just written a book called “A New Name” which talks about some of my struggles (especially with anorexia) and how Jesus reached me when nothing else could. You can find out more here.
As well as writing I sometimes do talks. Here are some seminars I’ve run in the past on eating disorders and other mental health issues.
These are articles I’ve written for other publications.
This is my Facebook page, if you “like” me, my articles will pop up in your feed. Or if you want to subscribe the old fashioned way, then that’d be lovely.
If you have suggestions for topics you’d like me to write about, please pop it in comments below.
